This place suits me perfectly! Wi-fi, air conditioning, and 24-hour reception provide everything I need. On my first stay, staff helped me find great dining spots. I highly recommend it and will return for a weekend.

Excellent location, about 5 mins away from Placa Catalunya. Impressive decor and facade in the common areas. Two computers with internet access in the lounge. Staff were friendly enough.
Not well sound proofed and we were disturbed in the night by the sound of people talking in the next room

It is a beautiful old Palace in the middle of the city great location. The rooms were very clean and kept well, not a 5 star property. The grand sitting room was very wonderful!!!! Breakfast was very good, lots to choose from, Staff was very friendly and helpful! Had a very nice 5 day stay, would stay there again, good value for the money...

Granvia let us into our room at 10 am, which we really appreciated as we wanted to get rid of alot of luggage before hitting the streets of Barcelona. Sometimes Hotels have the rooms ready but they just won't let you in-- but Granvia was not like that and we very much appreciated their generosity . Again, the next morning, some of our party were leaving and so I needed a single and again, they let me in my room at 10 am so I could stow my luggage. Not only that, but the single I was supposed to have someone had smoked in and it reeked of smoke, even though the hotel is totally non-smoking-- and they gave me a double for the price of the single, right away, without me even asking -- I think they didn't have any more singles. But there was no question that they made it right . Also, my children very much appreciated the free wi-fi. It is a beautiful hotel, very centrally located and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Exceptional hotel service staff, especially at the front desk, who go beyond their responsibilities to be helpful and informative with travelers. Great central location, buffet breakfast, and interesting conversion of older mansion-like building into hotel.
Being a converted older building, it has only one small elevator, and does not have the typical modern hotel facilities and ambiance, but a more traditional old-style grandeur.

Great afternoon tea, but the air conditioning struggled in the top floor room.

Location - it is really several minutes walk from Catalunya Square, and a metro station is within 50 metres.
I booked many months in advance, and still could not get a top floor room which I had asked for.

Close to train station. Central to city.
No view; but we did get the last room available. Construction work on at nearby building.
